Today, the UN Resident Coordinator, Mr. Richard Howard, visited the Hawaiian Nursery in Wewak, a crucial partner in our EU-STREIT PNG Programme. During this visit, the UNRC had the chance to overview the impressive operations at the nursery, where they specialize in cultivating high-quality, CPB pest-tolerant cocoa seedlings. These seedlings are vital for the Sepik region, aimed at distributing them to local farmers free-of-cost with the support of the EU-STREIT PNG Programme to help rejuvenate their existing cocoa blocks, ensuring sustainability and enhanced productivity in the region.
